Defining Region: Socio-cultural Anthropology and Interdisciplinary Perspectives

Organizers: Social Anthropology Center, VMU and the Institute of Baltic Sea Region History and Archaeology, Klaipeda University.

The first plenary session focused on issues of culture and its response to difference,  the blurring of state borders and the dislocation of people under conditions of globalization, and and the introduction of new genetics and reproductive technologies. The second session focused on multiculturalism and the third on European integration and cultural diversification.
